THE BEST!!!! MEMORIAL WEEKEND EVER

This Memorial Weekend kicked off Reena Treats street fair season; what better way to kick off the season then in my home HARLEM. On Sunday Reena Treats participated in the Sweet Spot Festival in West Harlem on the Pier (125th st. & 12th ave.) and another fair on Monday on 20th street and 6th ave....That's right we did back to back sweets. We were grateful to have two beautiful days. The Sweet Spot Festival was indeed one of the most fun we've ever done; there was great music by DJ CEO, DJ Moma and ELECTRiC PUNANNY they had the crowd and mine hands up dancing until the sun came down. We also debuted our Reena Treats frame and two new flavor to our sweet family Cotton Candy & Butter Pecan, it was so fun, cute and YUMMY. And of course we had the Lemonade Stand duo out there...my two nephews Harold & Juan...my two entrepreneurs...FYI they made $75 selling lemonade for a buck....they were hustling lol. All of the vendors were amazing; we had tons of fun, we met new fans of Reena Treats, we sold out ANNNNND we will be back on June 15 in Harlem on 145th street & Bradhurst.

Yummy Pumpkin Creme Brûlée

Last week I picked up a pastry torch from Bed, Bath & Beyond....I was so eager to make Creme Brûlée. So, yesterday I decided to make Creme Brûlée with a pumpkin twist. I used Libby's pumpkin purée (NOT PUMPKIN MIX), heavy cream, egg yolks, cinnamon, all spice, nutmeg and brown sugar....I mixed everything together.... The mix was soooo good I couldn't stop tasting it lol. Check out my photo below of my pumpkin Creme Brûlée journey

I'M BACKKKKKKKKKKKKK

Hello My Sweets,

Sorry for the longest hiatus ever....I've very busy with work, baking, recipe ideas and life....We had a great year...For the last couple months I have been practicing hard on cakes and fondant decor. Last month I made a two layered 6in cake with a fondant picture frame and a edible image from You Cake, Inc. (www.youcake.com) for my Grandfathers 80th birthday. This Saturday I made my second decorative fondant cake for my nephews 6th bowling birthday party; I was completely amazed at how this one turned out. This was my first two tiered cake; this cake took me all night to finish because everything was made by hand, I used Wilton fondant and gum paste to make all the decoration and figurines. During the hiatus I also made some other cakes....take a look below.
